The 1967 Dexter Press Premium cards are truly top shelf baseball cards. Measuring 5-1/2" by 7" and featuring breathtaking color photos of Major League Baseball's stars, this unnumbered 228-card set was distributed as a redemption promotion by the Coca-Cola Company. "[T]he Dexter Press baseball card sets of 1966-68 are the highest quality baseball cards ever printed," opined noted card collector Keith Olbermann. "The quality of the printing is so good that the cards almost glow." The offered Jim Palmer card is all the evidence Olbermann would need to prove his point. Featuring picture-perfect photo registration, incredibly bright color, and four sharp corners, this card was graded Mint 9 by PSA, and stands as the highest graded example on record. Palmer is one of the most underrated pitchers of his era. A three-time Cy Young Award Winner as well as a three-time World Series champion with Baltimore, "Cakes" has the distinction of being the only pitcher to win a Fall Classic game in three different decades (1966, 1970, 1971 and 1983). Of course Palmer is perhaps even more famous outside of baseball for being a Jockey underwear model. No matter if you are bidding on this card on your lunch break, or at home in your own underwear, this high-end item is one Orioles fans should not let fly away.
