There's not a lot of information out there on this stunning 1965 Swedish Candy issue of boxing icon Muhammad Ali. Listed on this card by his birth name, Cassius Clay, in 1964 Clay first changed his name to Cassius X, and then to Muhammad Ali following his conversion to Islam. Offered here high-end PSA 8 NM-MT condition, this card has a retro feel of early 20th century tobacco and candy baseball cards which also featured the subject's portrait in front of a single-color background, bordered in white. Showcasing an intense close up photo of the fighter wearing his black boxing gloves, this card exhibits four sharp corners and clean edges, along with impeccable image registration. It is one of only three examples to earn a PSA 8 mark, with only one besting it. This blank-backed beauty comes with our highest recommendation, and is an item worthy of any elite collection of "The Greatest."
