One of the toughest regular issue Topps Hank Aaron cards to find in top tier condition, only nine copies of The Hammer's 1960 Topps card #300 have ever graded PSA 9 Mint, with none graded higher. That card has sold eight times over the last decade, with two of those sales within the last three years reaching the unprecedented prices of $33,460 and $42,535. Although it may fall just short of realizing the Mint 9 grade, the offered PSA 8.5 NM-MT+ recently graded copy features strong enough features that it should be considered among the finest examples in the hobby. Mint edges join NM-MT or better corners around an accurately centered image that is almost entirely devoid of the pesky print that so commonly plagues the issue. The last PSA 8.5 NM-MT+ offered for public auction fetched $5,544 in a PWCC auction on eBay in September of last year, while the previous sale before that fetched $5,028 just over two years earlier. With only eight total copies on record and just nine graded higher, it would not be a surprise to learn at the end of 2020 that this superior specimen was the only copy in its class to make it to market. As such, we encourage you to bid accordingly.
