Collectors had been clamoring for them for years, and PSA finally responded last year with the introduction of their jumbo holders, which are able to accommodate oversized collectibles. In 1971, the Atlantic Richfield Company regionally distributed 8 x 10" baseball photo prints in its gas stations for four teams: the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and Pittsburgh Pirates. Each picture featured a large color player photo with facsimile autograph on the front and biographical and statistical information on the back. The awkwardness of storing such a large size item has led to many surviving copies having frayed edges or dog-eared corners, thus making them unsuitable to grading.

Not only is the 1971 Arco Red Sox photo card of Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski the highest graded copy of its kind, it stands as one of only two PSA Mint 9 cards in the entire set out of the 29 PSA has graded. Yaz's Triple Crown season of 1967 stands as one of the greatest achievements in Boston sports history, and he is regarded by New England sportswriters to be the greatest living Red Sox player. With its dagger-like corners, bold colors and flawless image registration, this minty-fresh photo card of the legendary Fenway favorite is one of the finest Yaz collectibles on the market— do not miss out!
