After breaking Ty Cobb's record for the most hits in Major League Baseball history in 1985, Pete Rose was on top of the baseball world, and in 1986 his image could be found on dozens of different baseball cards commemorating his historical achievement. Although many have undertaken it, collecting all of Pete's cards from his extended 24-year career is a daunting task, but zeroing in on 1985, when he broke the record, and 1986, when every card manufacturer in the business commemorated it, might be a more tenable task for collectors who are new to the Set Registry concept. According to PSA's population report for the year of 1986, baseball's newly crowned Hit King reports just over 200 different cards produced on record -- some from common sources, like the 120 that come from the 1986 Topps Pete Rose set, and others from not so common sources, like the different Meadow Gold Milk varieties and the stubborn Texas Gold Ice Cream issue, a promotional team set that featured three different Rose cards (fielding, managing, and a commemorative version). Most surviving examples from this rarely encountered set are either significantly off-centered, or they are in poor condition due to their method of distribution, and only a few have ever qualified for PSA 10 Gem Mint, or, to be more precise, just three of the fielding version, two of the infield version, and just one of the manager card, offered here for the first time ever. Rarely offered in any condition, and unique in the PSA 10 Gem Mint holder, distinguish your Set Registry collection with a winning bid on this Pop 1 Charlie Hustle today!
