Spring 2017 Major League Baseball "Set Registry Masters" Premium Auction
In 1962, Topps issued an experimental set of baseball-themed currency called "Topps Bucks." Slightly smaller but proportional in size to U.S. legal tender, kids could purchase these dollars of their favorite big league stars in pack form. Topps Bucks is especially noted for its stellar player selection, as 22 of the 96 men included in the set are today enshrined in Cooperstown. Offered here is one of those Hall of Famers, and possibly the best of them all, slugger Hank Aaron. In 1962, Hammerin' Hank batted .323 with 45 homers and 128 RBI, which would earn him Triple Crown honors some years. This '62 Topps Buck of Aaron has been scored Near Mint 7 by PSA, and is one of only nine examples in this grade, with only five ranking higher (and all of those five are graded PSA 8). You'll need to pony up some cash in order to bank this high-end baseball greenback.
