Children in the 70s had their Pet Rocks, while in the 80s youngsters played with their Cabbage Patch or Garbage Pail Kids. In the 90s, milk caps, otherwise known by the brand name Pogs, were the latest fad to enrapture school kids throughout America. Undoubtedly to capitalize off the craze, the Columbus Clippers—the New York Yankees' AAA minor league affiliate—printed 11 different panel cards featuring two milk caps of Clippers players, which were given away as a stadium promotion. Derek Jeter, the prized prospect of the Yankees farm system, was paired with a cap of the Clippers' home park, Cooper Stadium. Offered here is a PSA 10 Gem Mint example of an unpunched Jeter/Cooper Stadium panel card, one of the rarer minor league cards of the soon-to-be Hall of Famer. Pogs may have come and gone, but Derek Sanderson Jeter is a timeless American icon. Add this tough rookie card to your Yankee Captain stash today.
