Two years after its first edition in 1962, Union Oil teamed once again with famed sports artist Nicholas Volpe to create a second edition of its popular 8-1/2 by 11-inch Dodgers Premium Pictures. Similar to the 1962 issue, the main difference is that the 1964 issue shows two player portraits--one in uniform, and one in shirt and tie--instead of the original portrait and auction photo format. Another difference, of course, is that the Dodgers had just won the 1963 World Series, which made these 1964 Premium Picture sets an extremely hot commodity 55 years ago. Another recent addition to the Sandy Koufax Master Set Registry, offered here is the only graded Koufax example currently on record at PSA. As a Pop 1 highest graded specimen, it will add a strong statistical boost to your set registry with its yellow stripe and two bonus points. We can't emphasize enough how difficult it is to find this and other similar jumbo items in decent condition, so add it to your collection while it's available, and we'll do our best to find some more.
