In 2016, ESPN named Allen Iverson the sixth-greatest shooting guard in NBA history, behind Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Jerry West, Dwayne Wade, and Clyde Drexler, and in front of George Gervin, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, and Earl Monroe. If his greatness escapes your memory or comprehension even the slightest bit, we strongly encourage you to view the documentary film, Iverson, by director Zatella Beatty (available on Netflix). The IMDB summary by Tribeca Film Festival succinctly summarizes the athlete's impact on both the sport and our larger American culture: "Iverson is the ultimate legacy of NBA legend Allen Iverson, who rose from a childhood of crushing poverty in Hampton, Virginia, to become an 11-time NBA All-Star and universally recognized icon of his sport. Off the court, his audacious rejection of conservative NBA convention and unapologetic embrace of hip hop culture sent shockwaves throughout the league and influenced an entire generation. Told largely in Iverson's own words, the film charts the career highs and lows of one of the most distinctive and accomplished figures the sport of basketball has ever seen."

Offered here is a noticeably perfect and potentially pristine PSA 10 Gem Mint example of The Answer's most iconic and coveted rookie card, the 1996 Topps Chrome Refractor. As one of just 33 examples in its grade, the card is considerably tougher than Kobe Bryant's card from the same classic set, which reports 63 copies in the Gem Mint 10 grade that sell for about $15,000 each. Together, the 1996 Topps Chrome Refractor rookie cards of Kobe and AI comprise two of the most significant and recognizable basketball cards of the entire 1990s decade.
