We've asked this question before, but it bears repeating: Has there been a more underappreciated figure in baseball history than Frank Robinson? We cannot think of one. Not only did Robinson belt 596 home runs and hit for a .294 batting average over his 21-year big league career, he also bagged two MVP awards—one in each league—and the 1956 National League Rookie of the Year honors. In the prime of his career, his 1966 campaign was one of the most successful by a major leaguer, ever, in any era. In that year, Frank took home the Triple Crown and won both the AL and the World Series MVP awards, and he remains the only player in history to achieve this trifecta. Today, although his name is not frequently mentioned alongside those of Ruth, Mays, and Mantle (though it arguably deserves to be), he does have a dedicated following of fans and card collectors, especially in Cincinnati and Baltimore, the two cities where he spent the majority of his 21 seasons as a major league player.

Offered here is a PSA 9 Mint example of Robinson's 1962 Kahn's Wieners card. It stands as the sole mint copy ever certified by PSA, and is the highest graded specimen. Inserted in packages of Kahn's hot dogs, the offered card boasts four sharp corners, clean surfaces, and perfect print registration. Also, its edges are free from any unattractive chipping. If you are familiar with this card and set, that is no minor feat! Deserving of an elite collection, this handsome cardboard icon is the finest of its kind in existence. It comes with our highest recommendation.
