Up for your consideration here is an incredibly condition-sensitive 1960 Bell Brand Dodgers card of the celebrated Los Angeles southpaw, Sandy Koufax. Packaged in cellophane wrappers inside bags of Bell Brand potato and corn chips, the thin layer of protective plastic proved insufficient in guarding the enclosed baseball cards from soiling, as the vast majority of these cards bear oil stains from contact with the greasy snacks. Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA, the offered item is one of just seven examples (out of 122 submitted!) to earn the respectable NM-MT 8 mark. It is near perfectly centered from left-to-right and showcases undeniably pristine corners, edges, and surfaces. This card is as close to perfection as you can get from this set because only one copy has ever graded higher, and that card will likely remain locked away in a private collection for decades to come. Incidentally, that lone PSA 9 fetched a staggering sum of $33,140 in a 2006 Goodwin & Company auction. Offered here is the next best thing, and it won't run you the cost of a new car.
