For the brave vintage football fan working to build a high-grade 1951 Bowman set, the offered group of 16 pack-fresh PSA-graded cards might just be the best gift you'll give yourself this holiday season. This power-packed group consists of 12 cards graded PSA 8 NM-MT, including the following #s: 14, 16, 23, 45, 49, 52, 67, 68, 97, 98, 106, and 121, plus two cards graded PSA 7.5 NM+, including #s 66 and 71, plus two cards graded PSA 7 NM, including #s 11 and 69. Among the toughest and most underrated sets to collect, early Bowman football cards were produced in far fewer quantities than their baseball counterparts, which rank as some of the toughest and most valuable and coveted cards ever produced, especially in top grades. Speaking of tough, card #106 Leon Heath in this group reports a population of just 33 in the NM-MT 8 column at PSA with none graded higher, card #121 George Gulyanics is a Pop 18 and card #49 Fred Morrison is a Pop 23 in NN-MT 8 condition, and card #45 Zollie Toth is one of just 20 ever graded this high, with no examples ever graded higher. Brand new to the hobby and recently graded at no charge by Small Traditions for one of our favorite consignors, these are some of the finest 1951 Bowman football cards in existence.
