With 31 total signatures, the offered 1941 New York Yankees World Series Championship team signed Official American League William Harridge baseball is one of the most comprehensive '41 Yankees balls to ever surface for sale. Search the internet for yourself to confirm that most of the '41 team balls on record boast between 24 and 28 signatures. The reality is, there is only so much room for 30+ signatures on a 9-inch round orb. In fact, the offered ball is the only example we've been able to locate that showcases more than 30 signatures. With a brilliant Joe McCarthy on the sweet spot that ranks 8 to even 9 in quality, the remainder of the signatures mostly range from a low of 5 to 6 to a high of 8 to 9. The ball has been coated in a light layer of shellac and is in overall excellent condition.

In addition to the above-named Hall of Famers, other notables, several of which are rarely found on team-signed balls from the period, include Atley Donald, Charlie Keller, Frank Crosetti, Johnny Murphy, Marvin Breuer, and Spud Chandler. Importantly, the Joe DiMaggio mark is certified as coming from his own hand, as opposed to the secretarial marks often found on period New York Yankees team balls. This is important for authenticity, of course, but also because 1941 was the year Joe DiMaggio hit in 56 consecutive games, which is widely believed to be one of the sport's most unbreakable records. Furthermore, most historians regard the '41 squad as the best team from the immortal dynasty that won seven pennants in an eight-year span from DiMaggio's rookie year of 1936 to 1943.
